Leslie Burn will be subbing in for Celine Sauquillo Davis this week and teaching a Contemporary Dance class.
Instructor Bio: Leslie Burn (she/her) grew up dancing in her hometown of Fort Worth, Texas. She trained at Fort Worth Academy of Fine Arts and Texas Ballet Theater School. She had the opportunity to train at Debbie Allen's Dance Institute for four summers in Texas. In 2012 Leslie moved to New York City to dance at the renowned Joffrey Ballet School in the Trainee Program. She has danced for Earl Mosley’s Diversity of Dance, Elisa Monte Dance, and many other projects. She has performed at many venues including The Aaron Davis Hall, Apollo Theater, Brooklyn Museum, LADP, Red Bull Stadium & BAM Fisher Theater. She had the opportunity to be a part of the creative team for Donja R. Love’s play, In the Middle, as Assistant Movement Director under Tiffany Rea-Fisher.
Accessibility Note: The space is located on the 2nd floor with one flight of stairs directly up from the entrance. Elevator access is available; please email pieterpasd@gmail.com prior to event if you will be using it. The elevator is spacious enough for any mobility device and the 2nd floor space is free of any steps or mobility barriers. There are no automated doors in the building.
There are two all-gender restrooms with three private stalls and a urinal. Each restroom has one stall accessible for mobility device users.
Free parking is available directly behind our building at 2412 Workman Street. There are two additional free city lots south of Broadway on Workman Street. There is also ample metered parking in the neighborhood.
