a workshop production of FRANK
by Justin Streichman
Monday December 8, 2014 // 8:30pm
This is a performance about a sad and lonely vampire named Frank.
Justin Streichman debuts FRANK, a performance (in workshop production) that explores the ecstatic powers and terrible loneliness of being an immortal vampire.
with Kevin Taylor on accordion and trombone and cameo appearances by Claire Cronin, Gustine Fudickar, Maya Gingery, Chip Godwin, Sam Icklow, D’Angelo Lacy, Jennifer Moon, and Sebastian Peters-Lazaro.
“The vampire does not die like the bee when he sting once. He is only stronger, and being stronger, has yet more power. The vampire is of cunning more than mortal, for his cunning be the growth of ages. He can appear at will when, and where, and in any of the forms that are to him. He can direct the elements, the storm, the fog, the thunder, he can command all the rat, and the owl, and the bat – the moth, and the fox, and the wolf. He can grow and become small. And he can vanish and come unknown.”
– Bram Stoker
