Ben makes work in the U.S. and France. He graduated from Yale University, and then worked and traveled his way through London and Boulder, Colorado, to his current home in Paris where he is pursuing a masters degree in Contemporary Performance Practice at the University of Paris 8. His solos and collaborations with his company, madhause, have been seen in Boulder (BMoCA), Los Angeles (Found Gallery), New York (Chez Bushwick), Athens (nku22), and Paris (L’Épée de Bois). He has studied and worked with Goat Island, Anne Bogart and the SITI Company, Moving Theater, dreamthinkspeak (London), Mary Overlie and Terry O’Riley, Ettumanoor P. Kannan (Kerala, India), and most recently, Deborah Hay as part of the Solo Performance Commissioning Project. He will be attending the Impulstanz Festival in Vienna this summer as a recipient of the danceWEB scholarship.
