In this workshop we will illuminate our spines and unwind our nervous systems.
Through the invaluable lessons of Moshe Feldenkrais we will clarify, within our self image, this network of delicately woven bones. Our focus will be to articulate the spinal column to increase functionality.
Join us for an afternoon of embodiment where we will seek to increase sensation and address unconscious habits through touch and gentle movement. We will examine our self-use and find ways to improve our actions. As we decrease in speed and enhance our sense of listening, we can reveal our most fundamental movement patterns and make them more efficient.
“The aim [of the Feldenkrais Method] is a person that is organized to move with minimum effort and maximum efficiency, not through muscular strength, but through increased consciousness of how movement works.”
– Moshe Feldenkrais
