Showing and Residency Description
Jessica, Megan, Laurie and Lili will show new performance(s) created in residency at Pieter. Using the residency as a laboratory to create and test collaborative, independent, utopian models for an optimal life of creativity, they will strive to find the perfect balance of work/play, humor/earnestness, and gut intuition/calculated craft.
Liliana Dirks-Goodman is a Brooklyn based multi-disciplinary artist. Educated as an Architect she has received a Bachelors degree from the University of Colorado and a Masters from the Southern California Institute of Architecture. She frequently collaborates with experimental and independent choreographers, creating videos, sets/installations, and props for performance, along with her own visual and performance works. Her work has been featured in New York at Dixon Place, AUNTS, The Salon Show at Ulla’s House, Monkey Town, the TANK, Movement Research at the Judson Church, Roulette Intermedium, Danspace at St. Marks Church, and Dance Theater Workshop. Since fall of 2009 she has co-produced AUNTS: organizing events that feature performance, dance, and video in NYC. Megan Byrne (b.1979) lives in Brooklyn and makes dances and chandeliers. Her choreography and collaborations have been at The Kitchen, Movement Research at Judson Church, Roulette Intermedium, AUNTS, The Tank, Loree Theater, International Computer Music Festival, Dixon Place, The Salon Show at Ulla’s House, Bushwick Open Studios, Hudson Guild Theater
