ProjectQ Uses Hair as a Form Of Social Justice, by inviting queer youth of color to our Salon and Community Center.

There we give haircuts to housing insecure youth of color, the youth “PaY” for their haircuts by taking our free self empowering workshops like financial planning, meditation, and so much more. These workshops are taught by queer professionals of color in order to give our youth the representation they need to see themselves as the main character in their own story.

We are partnering with Pieter for their Monday Night Class series, inviting our community members to use their talents as a form of social justice. As a reminder to use everything in our power to make the world a more equitable place.

February 15: Using Music as a form of Social Justice with Coral Lobera

Coral raises the spirit of the late Chavela Vargas, singing among others the song ‘Negra Maria’ uplifting our Afro Latinx siblings.
