The Feldenkrais Method is a unique somatic educational system designed by Moshe Feldenkrais (1904-1984). The method studies the nervous system and helps students discover and create new and more efficient movement patterns.
Through increased awareness, students learn to sense and eliminate ineffective habits of standing, breathing, sitting and walking. Those with chronic pain and tension, as well as neurological, developmental and psychological concerns, can also find relief.
Allison Linamen is a Los Angeles based Feldenkrais practitioner with over two decades experience working in Movement Therapy and the Performing Arts. She considers it her mission to help others improve daily function and overcome chronic pain. Allison teaches weekly Awareness Through Movement classes and private Functional Integration lessons. She has extensive practice assisting those with Orthopedic conditions, MS, Stroke, Neuropathy, and chronic ailments. Allison continues to educate the public about the Feldenkrais Method and guide students through this life-changing process. She remains committed to creating space for self-exploration and growth.
