7:30 pm

Massimiliano Balduzzi was born in a small village in the Dolomites and moved to NYC in 2008. For the past eighteen years, frequently under the mentorship of Stefano Vercelli and Anne Zenour, he has dedicated himself to the research and practice of physical and vocal training for performers. He has worked both in Italy and internationally as a performer, teacher, and director. He was a Fresh Tracks artist at NYLA in 2013/14 and a Movement Research artist in residence with Ben Spatz in 2011/12. Lately, he has collaborated with artists Daria Fain, Helga Davis, Susan Mar Landau, Samita Sinha and Arturo Vidich

Odeya Nini is a Los Angeles based experimental vocalist and contemporary composer. At the locus of her interests are textural harmony, gesture, tonal animation, and the illumination of minute sounds, in works spanning chamber music to vocal pieces and collages of musique concrète. Her solo vocal work extends the dimension and expression of the voice and body, creating a sonic and physical panorama of silence to noise and tenderness to grandeur.  Odeya’s work has been presented at venues and festivals around the US and internationally from Los Angeles to Tel Aviv, Odessa, Mongolia and Vietnam. Odeya holds a BFA from the New School for Jazz and Contemporary Music where she studied with Theo Bleckmann and Gerry Hemingway, and an MFA in composition from California Institute of the Arts. Her debut albumVougheauxyice, for solo voice, was released in April of 2014.
