woods and studio presents: Embodying Our Experiences
Fresh! White and Marbles Jumbo Radio offer this trans/lbgtqi and allies workshop for our Pieter community and beyond. Guided by Fresh!’s Dharma driven perspective on compassion and empathy, while supported by Marbles with movement practices that align our awareness in our bodies- we will weave through dialogues, group exercises, and breathwork, that will deepen our knowledge of and relationship to our community, with a focus on queer/trans people of color.

Fresh! White is a Certified Life and Mindfulness Coach, writer, speaker, and facilitator. He is a contributing author to, Trans Bodies Trans Selves, a health, legal and cultural resource guide for members of the trans* community and those who serve them. Fresh has facilitated over 200 LGBTQIP conversations and trainings with emerging allies across many sectors, in the San Francisco Bay Area, since 2003. Fresh! works part time at the SF LGBT Center as an Employment Specialist where, in collaboration with the Transgender Law Center, he has offered many Trans* Competency Trainings for employers. He also sits on the boards of the SF Trans March, SF TDOR, and as an Ally on the advisory board for Bridge HIV, SF.

Marbles Jumbo Radio’s work spans dance and physical practice, performance and film in ways that engage bodies on the margins with reverence for their individual and collective wisdom. Their journey as a dancer has included a lot of formal training, as well as an equal amount of self-directed un-training, somatic practice, and wilderness-based mind/body research. Marbles is Certified by Kripalu Institute to teach yoga, and has a keen interest in helping folks bring attentive awareness and kindness to their bodies in support of their practice. Marbles has a professional background in healing body work, particularly Craniosacral, which they draw upon greatly when facilitating movement and stillness practices.
