A performance and language enhancement session for you and us.

This is the second iteration of the now-legendary Words Are Here to Please Us, Pieter’s inaugural cyber-performance on March 28th, 2020.

This was a presentation by the participants of a Pieter class called Talking Out Loud Saying Words, aka TOLSW led by Stacy Dawson Stearns) that has met every Monday night since sometime in February 2020.

We were the first Pieter class to go cyber when pandemic number 1 hit and we have persisted, even as pandemic 2 panic-performs itself into oblivion while we labor to enter a future of justice and kindness. This iteration of our word bending rituals will be offered via Zoom and Youtube livestream. We are going to squeeze language until something gives. The TOLSW family will share the vibe of our spaceship of a class with you, rail against normie language-ing , and demonstrate our telepathy work.

Special guest Barry Brannum will join us because Stacy asked him to take us to school for a minute. Gregory Barnett will have you, Amelia Charter will unpsool her music, Heather Seybolt will speak in number tongues, and Miles will stimulate the scorpion sting inside the skull. Check here for updates as the list grows. Don’t miss out on the party- we like it here and you will, too.

Stacy Dawson Stearns has left the building and now operates as a transient voice occupying different bodies in different times and places. She once won a coveted Bessie Award for portraying Satan in a Big Dance Theater piece called Another Telepathic Thing, and now she channels Kreon with them in Antigonick (catch them online at LaMama on Sept 18th).
