Join this Bachata dance course for beginners and learn the rhythms of Bachata and how to make them part of your dancing. This is one of three different intro classes to Bachata, which can be taken in any order. The other two Bachata intro classes cover Foundation and Movement, respectively. In this class you will:
Learn what characterizes Bachata, its history, and its future.
Be introduced to our unique way of dancing at Queerchata
Learn the rhythmical elements of Bachata in a fun and inclusive environment
This class focuses on the unique Bachata rhythms and is designed for those new to Bachata or Queerchata.
Accessibility Note:
The space is located on the 2nd floor with one flight of stairs directly up from the entrance. Elevator access is available; please contact the event coordinator/s prior to the event if you will be using it. The elevator is spacious enough for any mobility device and the 2nd floor space is free of any steps or mobility barriers. There are no automated doors in the building.
There are two all-gender restrooms with three private stalls and a urinal. Each restroom has one stall accessible for mobility device users.
Free parking is available directly behind our building at 2412 Workman Street. There are two additional free city lots south of Broadway on Workman Street. There is also ample metered parking in the neighborhood.
