Renting from Pieter is more than renting space, it's an invitation to join our community! We offer a Community Rentals Program for smaller offerings and a Special Events Program for larger scale events. Read on to learn more about which category your proposed rental falls into.
In order to rent the Pieter studio you must first attend an in-person Orientation. REGISTER
Please read through our Community Agreement and Mission to get a better understanding of who we are as an organization and to ensure that your values are in alignment with those of Pieter Performance Space!
Be sure to read over all of the information listed below and review our Release of Liability Contract prior to attending your scheduled Orientation.

Workshops
Classes
These can be income or non-income generating, 50 people or less and renters in this category must adhere to the following rules:
Renters must attend a New Renter Orientation prior to renting space. REGISTER
No vending or catering of food or drink in the space (but bringing your own snacks is fine!)
Leaving the space better than you found it - this includes taking out the trash after your rental, checking toiletries stock in the bathrooms and returning movable items in the studio to their original spots.
Being mindful of noise levels during business hours. (Monday through Friday, 9AM to 5PM)
Managing your own rental appointments. (booking, rescheduling, canceling)

Weekday Rental Rate
Monday through Thursday, 8AM to 12AM: $33/hr
Weekend Rental Rate
Friday through Sunday, 8AM to 12AM: $44/hr

Step One: REGISTER to attend a Community Renter Orientation.
Step Two: Fill out the New Renter Inquiry Form that you will receive at the end of orientation.
Step Three: Schedule as many appointments as you’d like up to 90 days out! Reservation slots are first come, first served and Community Renters are responsible for booking, rescheduling & canceling rental appointments.
After you book a rental appointment, you will receive:
A confirmation email - confirming your appointment with the options to also reschedule or cancel your appointment.
A 24 hour reminder email - this will come 24 hours before each appointment and will contain information such as key codes, lock box codes, WiFi info, the emergency phone number and any pertinent space information.

Activities that fall under Special Events include, but are not limited to:
Bookings of 51+ people expected attendance
Bookings taking place further than 90 days out (Community Rentals are limited to a 90 day booking window)
Ceremonies (weddings, private parties, etc.)
Events that include catering and/or vending
Gallery showings
Commercial Film & photo shoots
Consecutive multi-day bookings longer than 6 hours
Any booking requiring additional space outside of the Studio
These bookings can be income or non-income generating, private or public facing events and renters in this category must adhere to the following rules:
Renters must attend a New Renter Orientation prior to their event date. CLICK HERE TO REGISTER.
Leave the space better than you found it: this includes taking out the trash after your rental, checking the bathrooms for cleanliness and making sure that toiletries are stocked; returning any movable items in the studio back to their original spots.
Be mindful of noise levels during business hours (Monday through Friday, 9AM to 5PM)

Rates for these bookings are as follows:
$120-$150/hr* (pricing is dependent on event type & the impact on the space)
$100-$200 cleaning fee (pricing is dependent on event type and the impact on the space)
Service charge of 2.9% + $0.30
Additional props (microphone, microphone stand, etc) for an additional fee

To rent space for a Special Event at Pieter Performance Space, renters must:
Step One: Fill out our SPECIAL EVENT INQUIRY FORM
Step Two: Sign a Special Event Agreement
Step Three: Pay a deposit in the amount of 25% of the initial rental fee (hourly rate), due 2 weeks after receipt of the agreement.
Step Four: Renters MUST attend a New Renter Orientation. CLICK HERE TO REGISTER. This will ensure that you are familiar with how to access the space, where supplies are located and how to lock up at the end of your rental. This is also a great way to become more familiar with Pieter Performance Space, who we are and who we are here to serve. You are more than welcome to attend a New Renter Orientation prior to filling out the Special Event Inquiry Form to confirm that Pieter’s studio is a good fit for your needs.
Once a signed agreement and your deposit is received, your rental will be booked. The balance of your rental will be due 2 weeks prior to your rental date.
After your rental appointment is booked, you will receive:
